Having a passion for language arts myself, I have a natural drive to bring out the reader and writer in others as well. Growing up, I could be found nestled in the crook of our old elm tree writing poetry. Later, I found my voice in persuasive and inspirational writing, rooting myself forever in a love affair with words! And not just my own, for sure. Reading the experiences and discoveries of other people of all ages has continued to be a joy as well. So when I see students struggling with reading, writing, or spelling, I take an automatic interest in helping them replace their feelings of frustration and inadequacy with genuine joy found in reading and writing. It’s like introducing someone to a lifelong friendship!

Many years ago, while home schooling my own children, I began tutoring other home school students in language arts. This grew into the creation of two writing courses and a DVD. I have a bachelor of arts degree in English and work as an online instructor, writer, substitute teacher in public school.
